Have you ever wondered what it would be like to own a full size passenger car?? We found just the man to answer all your questions, Kevin Moore of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has been playing with full-size railroad cars for decades.

The Berlin sleeping car is one of the most magnificent private passenger cars on the rails today. Built by Pullman for the Union Pacific during the 1950’s, the 11 room sleeper was originally named the “Lake Placid.” So jump on board and enjoy another exciting episode of a ModelersLife.

A lifelong model railroader, who enjoys track planning while becoming a fan of railroad prototype modeling. Trying to replicate the appearance and operations of real railroads as accurately as possible in miniature presents some interesting challenges.

Few modelers have enough space to reproduce prototype track layouts with the distance required. Bob says half the fun of it is creating a track plan capturing the essence of a prototype in a manageable space is unique to every plan and layout builder.

 With almost 100 layouts plans featured on his website: bobstrackplans.com and a wealth of knowledge about the hobby you’ll be glad we decided to interview Bob. Enjoy!!
