I’ve heard the name Kaylee Zheng for a few years now, so when we finally met at this year’s Springfield Show it seemed obvious she needed to be introduced to all the AML listeners. Her clinics about using cell phone speakers producing quality sound in scale locomotives are already legendary.

She originally moved to the Hartford, Connecticut area to support her beloved Whalers of the NHL only to find out they’d left decades earlier. When she’s not working on the latest decoder install or building her layout you can always find her at Tom’s Trains. Enjoy!!

RPM meats are becoming more and more popular and the Mid-Atlantic one is no different. Started just a few short years ago in 2013 this meet has become one of the more imprtant ones on the East Coast, catering to advanced modelers interested and staying faithful to their prototype.

Well-known model railroad author Bernie Kempinski tells us about two days of clinics, displays, networking and camaraderie. There’s lots to do and see with specialized vendors, a great time will be had by all. So make sure to mark this great event on your calendar.

This interview was done after Blaine and his family moved to Sheridan, Wyoming before announcing plans for his new company. As always he was a great interview with lots of insight into the hobby which I’m sure you will enjoy.
